Center Parcs is never going to be a cheap holiday but if you’re wondering how you’re going to afford loads of activities and meals out, fear not. There is plenty you can do to reduce the day to day costs of your stay and still enjoy the beautiful surrounding with your family.
6 Top Tips To Save Money At Center Parcs
1. Take Your Slow Cooker
One of the best things about being on holiday is the fact you don’t actually need to cook. That said, the cost of eating out can soon add up, especially at somewhere like Center Parcs where it’s mega expensive.
Take your slow cooker and fill it with a tasty dish in the morning so dinner is all ready to go when you arrive back at your lodge after a busy day. For example, you could cook chilli and then team it with microwave rice or cook a big tasty beef stew.

2. Locate The Nearest Supermarket Before You Go
Taking your own food is one of the biggest ways to save money at Center Parcs but if you’ve already got a car full then they might not be enough room to take whole weeks shopping with you. While there is a mini-market on-site, as you can probably imagine it’s pretty pricey.
Before travelling locate your nearest supermarket. For example, at Longleat Center Parcs there is a Morrisons around 10 minutes away.
Once you’ve unloaded your car at the lodge, head to the supermarket and get stocked up. You can leave Center Parcs as often as you like during your stay but cars are only allowed to lodges on changeover days so bear this is mind if you plan to do a big shop midweek.
3. Take Your Own Sports Equipment
As well as charging you to use their facilities Center Parcs also charge you to hire their equipment. Take your own instead. Basic tennis and badminton raquets can be picked up very cheaply (think B&M and Poundland) and also consider taking your own table tennis set. We did this and set it up on the dining room table so we could play whenever we wanted.
4. Make Some Fun Printables
Make your own activities by making some printables before you leave. These could be scavenger hunts, nature trails, mini-quizzes – anything that will help occupy little minds while you’re out and about.

5. Plan Some Family Time
Of course, holidays are all about family time but don’t feel bad if you’re not doing expensive activities every day – there’s plenty you can do in the lodge to make family time extra special. You could have a movie night, play a new board game or even have a little party.
6. Find The Best Free Activities
Most Center Parcs have things you can do for free that you might not even realise are there. At Longleat there is a land train – why not ride it all the way around the park?
Center Parcs usually have lots of different outdoor play parks too – you could try to visit every single one of them during your stay.
Center Parcs locations are all beautiful and there is plenty to see and do even if you are having to keep a close eye on what you spend while staying there.
Family time, the tranquil location and lots of fresh air should be more than enough to keep any family happy.
